About Me

My name is Clark Tisdale.  I live in Birmingham, Alabama, only a few miles from where I grew up.  After an absence of over 15 years, we are back living among family and old friends because that is where we belong.

Previously we lived in Colorado Springs, CO where we came to know and love many wonderful people, and a state of immense size and beauty.

Prior to that we lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area for 12 years.  Our children were born there and spent their early years growing up among a loving and nurturing church family.

I have been a programmer for more than 25 years.  I trained in college on large mainframe systems and worked professionally in that capacity until around 1991.  At that point, I began concentrating professionally on writing software for PCs.

I bought a PC in 1986 and started teaching myself about them, reading and practicing.  I learned using a variety of tools and languages, dBase, Clarion, and C mostly.

Around 1995 or 1996, I was introduced to Borland's Delphi.  I quickly took to it and have been using it more or less exclusively since then. I'm also programming a lot now in C# which I like more every day. Additionally, I have been involved with C++ and Java on a few projects.
