The CDmax user interface can be translated into languages other than its native English. This accomplished by substituting new versions of the cmxLang.dat and the CDmax.hlp files in the directory where CDmax is installed. Currently available language files are below.
Other language projects are under way. Contact me if you would like to help.
Language translation kit
The language translation kit can be downloaded here. If you are interested in translating CDmax into a different language, this is what you need to get started. Included are an editor for the cmxLang.dat file and the English .rtf file used to create the CDmax.hlp file.
The editor allows you to enter phrases appropriate for your language for each of the English phrases used by the CDmax user interface.
The ReadMe.txt file and the editor help file explain the procedures for translating both the user interface and the help file.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in translating CDmax to a different language.
