Language files

The Cars user interface can be translated into languages other than its native English.  This accomplished by substituting new versions of the crsLang.dat and the Cars.chm files in the directory where Cars is installed.

Files for available languages are listed below. I will post others as they become available.

I elected to split the UI language translation and the Help translation for Cars. So there are two different kits for translators below.

Language translation kit (UI)

The UI language translation kit can be downloaded here.  Included is an editor for the crsLang.dat file.

The editor allows you to enter phrases appropriate for your language for each of the English phrases used by the Cars user interface.

The editor help file is online at my website and the editor will take you to the appropriate page when you press F1.

Help translation kit

The help translation kit can be downloaded here. Included are the HTML files used to build the Cars help file. A light knowledge of HTML would be helpful for this task.
